Review: NYX Xtreme Lip Cream

More than a week ago, I ordered some stuffs from Skye Avenue. [ haul HERE ]
And Ate Dee, the owner, was super nice to give me a few items to review. She gave me this NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz. I haven't tried this yet but the SMLC I have. And I loved it. So, I was super excited when I got this.

For those of you who haven't heard about NYX. It is a drugstore cosmetic brand from the US that carries lipsticks, blushes up to eye shadows. They have almost every kind of makeup. I am not sure if we have NYX stores locally, but you won't have a hard time finding their products because they are all over the internet. This brand, I think, is one of the MOST famous cosmetic brand that a LOT of online shops sell nowadays.

Anyways, the product look like this. It looks like a teeny tiny lip gloss, huh?! :)

"Beautify your lips with this velvety rich lip cream that provides extreme pigmentation with a silky and glossy finish. This lip cream is a hybrid of lipstick, lip gloss and lip stain with intense pigmentation all in one. "
It's not a gloss, nor a lipstick. I like it! :)

The packaging looks cute and chic. I love how it perfectly fits my purse or the pockets of my bag. It can even fit inside the pocket of my jeans. Its super cute! :)

And just like any other lip gloss, it comes with the sponge tip applicator.

I got the shade NUDE PEACH FUZZ. And I think it really is true to its name! Its has a great color pay off.

Here is a little hand swatch. But if you want to see me wearing it, check my EOTD that I posted yesterday. [ click HERE ] .

I like it, but I don't love it. Lemme show you the PROS and CONS. :)

PROS.
* The consistency is thick. BUT it doesn't feel thick when you apply it. And I LOVE that about this product. ♥
* It isn't TOO glossy or shiny. It just have the perfect amount of shine. ♥
* It has a great pigmentation! ♥
* It is super cute. It fits my purse perfectly. It is small enough to even fit in my pocket. ♥
* It isn't drying. Well, I wear my Carmex lipbalm before I apply it though.
* It makes my lips look fuller and thicker... and plumper. [ I like it.. but I don't sometimes. :P ]
* It is affordable. ♥

CONS
* It has this weird scent. It reminds me of the clay that I love to play with when I was a kid. hehe
* It doesn't compliment my morena skin because I think I look darker every time I wear it.
* It doesn't really last that long. After 2-3 hours, it's gone.

Will I recommend?
Yes. It isn't a must have though. But it is a great addition in mine and your makeup stash as well. :) If you don't like it super shiny or super matte, this is perfect for you!

Will I repurchase?
Yes. But not the same shade. I would love to try the pink and red ones.

You can buy this product or other NYX products from Skye Avenue. I highly recommend the shop! Ate Dee is super nice. :)

I like it, but I don't love it. I hated didn't like it during the first few times I used it, but I am starting to appreciate it more now. :)
I would love to try some other shades, though. I think it's just the shade that I don't like that much.

I hope you guys enjoyed this short review. *short ba?! hehe

EOTD: Sun Kissed.

Last Saturday, our weather here in the Philippines was super gloomy. We stayed home all day cause the rain was non-stop. I got bored, so I played with my Beauty UK palettes that I bought from Skye Avenue. :) [ my online shopping haul here. ]

And this is what I came up with. Nothing too extravagant. I just want to test out the eye shadows before I can review it. [ REVIEW SOON! ]

I called it sun kissed, just because. :) That's the first word that came up to my mind.

These are the products I used on my eyes.
1. Beauty UK palette in SOHO
2. BEAUTY UK palette in EARTH CHILD
4. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

I used the ORANGE color from my Beauty UK "soho" palette
It is really orange. Bright but a subtle orange color.

First, I used my NYX Jumbo Pencil in MILK as a base. The base will help the color of the eye shadow pop a little more.
Then, I put this orange eye shadow over my lids up to the crease area.

And then, I took this SOFT CHOCOLATE BROWN color from my Beauty UK "earth child" paletteThis eye shadow is matte but it has a bit of a shimmer. The color is so subtle that's why it is perfect to use to blend out harsh edges.

I used this all over my crease to soften the orange color a little bit. And I just blended out the harsh edges with this SOFT BROWN eye shadow.

And then I used this COPPER-y BROWN-ish color. [ I don't know how to describe it. ]
Again it is from my Beauty UK "earth child" palette. It is a darker kind of brown that has a LOT of shimmers on it.

I used this to deepen my crease a little bit more. I put it on the OUTER- V area of my eye.
And I just blended it all in.

I also used the cream-y eye shadow from the same palette to highlight my brow bone.
[ I don't have the picture ]

Here are a little bit of hand swatches of the colors.
And then after that, I just lined my eyes with my favorite eyeliner and put on some mascara. :)

There you have it. :) I hope you guys enjoyed this simple look I came up with my Beauty UK palettes. And please stay tuned for my reviews on that. SOON!

And if you guys want to try this look. Its super easy. If you do, post it on my FB page. I would love to see it! :)

Review: Krave Minerale Oil Eliminator and Skin Hydrator

Having an oily skin was once a MAJOR problem for me. When I was in high school I only use my ever reliable blotting paper. And that's it! I used to blot twice or thrice because my skin is oily, the OILIEST I must say. I didn't know the right products to use, or the things to do to help me prevent my skin to look like a GREASE ball at the end of the day.

A few months back I have heard about Krave's Oil Eliminator and Skin Hydrator. At first, I doubted it. I have seen a couple of products that PROMISES amazing result but ended up disappointing me. But the hype made me really curious. I have read good comments / reviews about the product. So, last June I have finally decided to get one. I actually talked about how I ordered and stuffs HERE.

Anyways, I know this is a long overdue already.hehe I keep on forgetting to review it. I am almost out of it already too. But here it is! :)  So, keep on reading!

Php 285.00 for 3g of product.
It claims to : control oiliness all through out the day and makes your make up stay intact all day long.

I love this product. It works amazing! I use it every single day and I think it really helps control the oiliness. I like using it on my t-zone and a little bit on my cheeks area.

This is what it looks like inside. It also comes with a little powder puff. [ I have a picture here ]
It is kinda messy. So one tip, Do not peel off the whole sticker
Maybe you can just poke it with a needle or just remove half of it.

This is the swatch. It is a translucent powder. So, it won;t change or interfere with your makeup. VERY NICE! :)

It gives your skin a nice healthy looking glow. I LOVE it! :) And it is also leaves your skin smooth looking. ♥

PROS
* It really does its job. It controls the oiliness. I am not sure if it does help my makeup stay intact though.
* It doesn't have any smell or whatever.
* It is translucent! You won't have a problem with it interfering with the color of your makeup.
* Glides on smoothly into your face
* It makes your skin look smooth. And gives it a very "healthy" looking glow.
* It really controls my oiliness! It really works! :)
* I think the price is okay, cause the product can really help you.

CONS
* The packaging looks cheap. As you can see, the label is starting to rub off.
* It only contains a little product for its price.  [ It's okay for me though. hehe ]
* You can only order it online.

Will I recommend?
YES! Definitely! Especially to all the ladies who have oily skin as well. Even if you don't have one, it is perfect for the weather we have in this country. :)

Will I repurchase?
YES! I need this in my life! hehe ♥

Overall, I really love this product. It lives up to my expectations. :)
HG material? YES! As of the moment, I can't last a day without using it. ♥
I am in love with it! BUT always remember the golden rule.
" What works for me, MIGHT not work for you. "

CONS
* The only con I think is, the handle isn't that sturdy.
