Day and Night Makeup [ collaboration with Micmic's Corner. ]

DAY and NIGHT Makeup look! ♥

vampire?! :D
Ms. Michelle Magramo of Micmic's Corner, and I became friends through facebook. I believe she started her blog last year and I am still new at it. She is super nice. I actually featured her on my Trail of Kindness Tag. [ HERE ] So, click that if you want to see more of how we became friends. :) Her channel is www.michellemagramo.blogspot.com.

So, last week we talked about "collaborating" in doing one makeup look. Since we both aren't that experienced yet, we settled for the easiest one. A day makeup look. :) But as the days passed by, we came up with a few ideas and ended up doing a DAY and NIGHT look. :)

This is her version. And you can see her post here.
Visit her! She has awesome posts and you'll definitely love her. :)

And here is my version of the DAY and NIGHT makeup look.  ♥

But before that, here is a before shot of my face. I am not too confident about this, but whatevs! hehe

look how crazy my eyebrows are there! hehe.
I cleaned it up already after that photo though :D

I don't have a perfect skin or a pretty face. :D But whatever! I want you guys to see how I look BEFORE and AFTER putting makeup on.
Haters gonna hate! :)

For the DAY look, here are the products I used.

I made it simple.
For my face, I only used a foundation with a not so thick coverage. I put on a bit of concealer on the areas that needed to be concealed. Then, I just put on a little bit of blush too.
For my eyes, I didn't put on any eye shadow. I just lined it [ thinly ] with my black liner. And then I put on a little bit of white liner on my tear ducts,
then I just dabbed it on with my finger. I curled my lashes and put on my favorite mascara!
For my lips I used my HG lip balm to moisturize it. And then I used two pretty lipsticks, and I am good to go! :)

This is actually a super simple everyday makeup that you can wear at school, office or even when you're just running some errands. :)

Here are some other shots I took.

For the NIGHT look.

It is another simple makeup look. But I used a different foundation.
I used a cream one for a thicker coverage. I also used my concealer generously for a smoother, more flawless look. I didn't use too much blush because I used a super red matte lipstick.
For my eyes, I used NYX Jumbo pencil in milk on my lids and then I dabbed on a very shimmery white eye shadow on the center of my lids. Then, I lined it with the same liner I used during the day. But I lined it thicker than the usual. I put on False Lashes to make my eyes look more dramatic.
[ This is my SECOND time to put on falsies. It took me 30 minutes to do that! hehe  I put it on just for the sake of the look.]
I curled my real lashes and falsies together, and then I put on a mascara. Then, I am ready to rock and roll! :)

It is another simple makeup look. You can wear on date nights or even when you want to go clubbing with your friends. Simple but very classy looking! :)

Some other shots I took.

So that's my DAY AND NIGHT Makeup look. :)
I used very affordable but high quality drugstore makeups.

I am a NO PRO with eye shadows or with makeups! NA AH! I am not an expert.
I still need to learn A LOT! But I hope you guys loved the looks. And please, do try it!
I would love to see your version of Day and Night look. ♥ Post it on my FB page if ever you guys try it! :)

REVIEW: Caress Nail Polish

There was a time in my life that I thought I need to have TONS of nail polishes.
When I started buying a few, I just can't help but buy more! I am not a fan of expensive brands but I have tons of the drugstore ones. I had Caronia, Bobbi and San San brands on my nail polish stash. It was crazy cause I didn't care if they dry up super quickly, or even if the quality isn't good. I used to change my nails every 3 days. And it made my nails super ugly!

BUT thank God, I got over that phase already. I don't even paint my nails on a regular basis anymore. I just do it once in a while, or whenever I feel like doing them.

Last Sunday night, I was bored ad I can't sleep so I have decided to give myself a mine manicure. :) I cleaned my nails and looked for a nail polish. ( BTW I oly have 4 nail polishes now! hehe )

So, I wanted to use the gray one from Caress. Its in the shade of Gray Stone.
I got it a few months ago at The Landmark for only Php 22.00. I believe you can also find this brand on Watsons or any SM Dept. Store.

This is my first time using this nail polish. So I really didn't know the consistency of it.

Before I put on a nail polish on my nails. I always use the Caronia Nail Hardener and Base Coat first. So, I did that. And then I applied the first coat.

It was too watery! Its too opaque! I can't even see the color of the nail polish, which is bad! But I thought to myself, maybe I need to apply another coat.

So, after the 2nd coat. Im still not satisfied. I applied another coat and its starting to form little bubbles. And I can feel that it is too much product already. It feels thick and I don't like that.

And as you can see, after 3 coats the color is still not that visible.
You can even see my nails on some areas. I don't like that the consistency is too liquid-y.
And it doesn't give enough color to my nails.

After that I put on a coat of my Chic colorless nail polish, then I put a few drops of the Caronia Kwik Dry on each nails.

I didn't like it so a few minutes later I have decided to just remove it.
Overall, I don't like the product. But I remember having some Caress nail polishes before that isn't this bad. I guess, it depends on the color or whatever.

So yeah, that's my unplanned review. hehe.
Do you guys experienced this thing with any other nail polishes too? Comment down below! ♥

REVIEW: Loreal Voluminous Mascara

I used to not care on putting on a mascara. When I was just starting, I thought that its a waste of money and its really not necessary. I thought that I don't really need a mascara on my kit.

My first ever mascara is the Bobbi Brown mascara that my aunt from Taiwan gave me. I loved it! It was a great mascara. It lengthens my lashes and it just made my eyes look amazing. And from then on I realized how it affects my eye's appearance. I realized that it makes a big difference.

After I finished the tube, I was searching for a not so expensive mascara that will still satisfy my need. My lashes isn't that short, I am pretty satisfied with the length of it. I am pretty blessed on that. :)

Here is a photo of my lashes without any mascara.

I bought the Magnum Volum Express mascara from Maybelline. And it didn't satisfy me. So for awhile, I stopped bothering searching for a mascara. But to not waste my money on it, I used the mascara just for the sake of it.

And then a few months ago I heard how Judy of ItsJudyTIme raved about it. I wanted to get the same mascara but I told myself that I should finish up my mascara first. So I didn't bother searching.

Last May, when I went to the Superb Bazaar, I went to Chedelyn's Cosmetics booth to buy some products. I bought the Revlon Colorstay and some other things. When I'm about to pay, I saw the mascara that Judy was talking about. Then and there, I knew that I have to get it! So, I did.

Here's what it looks like.

I think the packaging looks super sleek. Gold with some cute angles! :) I love it!
It isn't cheap looking at all!
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥  [ 5 hearts to that! ]

The applicator isn't too special. But I noticed that it is thinner and longer than the Maybelline mascara. It is skinny enough to reach the inner corner of my lashes.
And it doesn't look complicated so I like it about that. :)
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [ 5 hearts! ]

The consistency is a bit dry. I don't know if its really the normal consistency of it but its still working, so no problem with that. I like that it isn't messy to apply. 1-2 coats is enough to give your lashes the UMPH that you're looking for!
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥  [ 5 heartssss! ]

So here's what my lashes look like with this mascara on.

Isn't it gorgeous?! :)
This product claims to give your lashes the volume that falsies can give.
And I agree! I really don't wear falsies cause first, I don't know how. And second because I think its TOO much.
So this mascara is a good alternative to falsies. :)

I really love it. I love how it lengthens and volumizes my lashes.
It doesn't clump nor smudge.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
5 HEARTS!

I will definitely repurchase this! And yes, I recommend it to everyone!
All girls who lovesss mascaras and who wants longer lashes, this is a must have! :)

And I am not sure if its available locally. But you can buy it from online shops.
I bought mine for 350 pesos from Chedelyn's Cosmetics on facebook.
Pretty cheap huh?!  ♥
I was blown away by how amazing this product is! For now, this baby is my HG mascara!
LOOVE IT! ♥

Have you guys tried this already? What's your experience with it?
Share it down below! ♥
THANKS!

BOTD: Bag of the Day 06/29/12

Today, June 29 Thursday, we went to Mall of Asia because we are bored. :) My mom needed to run some errands so I tagged along with her with my 2 younger siblings. It was a pretty cloudy day but it didn't rain really hard.

So, I just want to share with you guys my BAG of the day. [ Is BOTD weird?! hehe ]

I used my animal printed bag from SM Department Store. It is very cheap, I got this last year for Php 400.00  and its a buy one get one for free! [ I got a different bag for free ]
What a steal right? :)

Its this cute little purse that you can use as a handbag. But you can also use it as a body bag-ish. :)
I love it cause its my first animal printed bag. ♥

It isn't hat sturdy looking but I like it.
I am not really a fashionista or whatevs, but I think this bag will look good when you're wearing simple outfits.

TOP: UNIQLO yellow snoopy shirt
BOTTOM: white shorts from SM Dept. Store
SHOES: grey sandals from SANUK

*I am really sorry cause I don't have decent pictures of my outfit. :D

That's it for my first BOTD. :) Bag of the Day is so cute right? hehe
I don't have a lot of bags, just a disclaimer. :)
