PILLOW TIME: Heart to Heart ♥

WARNING: EMO POST! :D

Hey hey! :) I know I have been lacking posts this week. And I am sorry about that. I realized that I only have 2 blog posts before this! BAD! Anyways, I will make it up to you guys. I PROMISE! :) Next week, I will try my very best to get back to the usual.

Thank you for those people who are still supporting me. ♥ For those who, religiously read my posts and for those people who really followed me not just for the sake of giveaways or whatever. :) THANKS! ♥

Anyways, I just want to explain a little bit and share what I have been going through. :)
EHEM! hehe

So, a few weeks ago me and my partner for 19 months broke up. Sad?! YES!
I was the one who broke up with him for a few reasons. We don't have the 'typical' relationship cause we weren't together physically. It was hard but we tried our best to work things out.
I did it not because I want to. I did it because I knew we both need it.
I knew that there's something wrong, something missing. And when I told him that, we both agree na may mali nga

The past few months was the hardest. Nagiging MAS mahirap sya as months went by.
We almost split up a lot of time before that. Pero we keep on coming back kasi we still love each other. I thought love is enough.
And then yun, the day came when I knew I needed to end it na. I knew I needed to do it. It took me a few weeks to really think about it and to gain the courage to do it.
Breaking up with someone is hard, but breaking up with someone you still love is harder.
*eeeh! naiiyak na ko....

That was my first serious relationship, ever. And I will admit, it is really devastating.
It is harder that I thought. And it gets harder each day.
He is a good guy! He is actually a great guy. *haaay! :(
I don't have anything against him. My time with him is by far the most amazing time of my life. Yes, I still love him.
I saw this somewhere, and I totally agree.
So, yeah! It happened a few weeks ago, and I tried to escape it. I am so happy blogging that's why I kept myself super busy. It helped me a lot! Kasi diba when you're busy you forget your problems and stuffs. So, this blog temporarily took the pain away. That's why I love this blog and you guys, so much... AGAD AGAD! :)
But the whole week, I felt down. I can't escape the pain. I can't seem to find the inspiration to write or do anything.
People might find it mababaw, but that what I really felt. I don't want to write just for the sake of doing it. If I don't feel like sharing or doing anything, I won't come up with a good blog post. So, I listened to my body, to my mind. I rested for a few days, I cried and I did everything I need to do.

Sorry if this is super long. I just want to share this with you guys.
I am okay! I am taking it one day at a time. Diba nga, Time heals EVERYTHING.
I will get there. I know that! :) ♥ It isn't the end of the world. I will experience pain, I will still cry and still miss him. But sooner or later, I will be able to see the good side sa nangyari. :)
Everything happens for a reason. ♥

And again, thank you so much for supporting me! It really means a lot to me! :)

my RED lipsticks.

"Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable on your own skin.
That, or a a kick-ass red lipstick. "
                                                          --Gwyneth Paltrow

I am not a big fan of RED lipsticks. I am more of a pink and nude kind of girl. Maybe because most of the time I just want to keep everything simple. I thought RED is too much. I wasn't sure on how to pull it off. But as I explore more and discover more, I realized that every time I wear bright colored lipsticks, especially red ones, I feel more energized. It makes me feel more alive and more beautiful. It really brightens my mood. I also like wearing my red lipsticks when I feel lazy. :D I'll just put my foundation on then mascara. And then bright lipstick, I'M DONE! :)

Red lipstick is like the LBD. It is a MUST-HAVE in every girls makeup stash.

Here are the 6 RED lipsticks that I own. ♥

L-R Loreal Infallibe Lip Color in Beyonce's Red , Ever Bilena Matte lipstick in Scarlet, Ever Bilena Matte lipstick in Love that Red, NYX Round Lipstick in Snow White, NYX Round lipstick in Hero and Ever Bilena Pro Longwear lipstick in Eager

I don't use all of them because I don't think that all of them look good on me.
Looking for the perfect shade of red for your skin tone is actually trial and error.

NOT BECAUSE IT LOOK GOOD ON OTHER PEOPLE, DOESN'T MEAN THAT IT WILL ALSO LOOK GOOD ON YOU.
Knowing your skin tone is a huge help in looking for the right shade of red that will suit you. ♥
Hand Swatches

1 and 2.  NYX RLS in Hero and Snow White - NYX's RLS are so creamy. Hero is obviously lighter than Snow White. I think that this is shade is a perfect RED. I mean I am not sure of the undertone or whatever but whenever I see this color, I know it is red. [ I hope you guys get that. hehe ]
Snow White is pretty! It is darker than the previous one but it really add a statement to your look. It is perfect for night outs and formal events. It looks fine on me as well. Not good, not bad. :)

3. EB Pro Longwear lipstick in Eager - I find this lipstick a bit drying than the Matte ones. I don't know why but I like the Matte ones better. I used it once so I can't review it that much. But it is a gorgeous red with a pink undertone. It kinda looks a bit fuchsia on the picture.

4 and 5. EB Matte Lipsticks in Love that Red and Scarlet - Love that Red is my favorite out of the bunch. It is a gorgeous red with a little bit of blue undertone. Its not too dark and not too RED as well. I love it. I think it really compliments my skin tone.
Scarlet - It is an orange-y kind of red. It makes me look a bit darker than my skintone so I don't use it as much. I used it during the summer time and I think its perfect.
EB matte lippies are a bit drying, but with a good lip balm... PERFECT! ♥

6. Loreal Infallible lip color in Beyonce's Red - I think this color is the perfect definition for the word, RED! It is RED! The color is bright and gorgeous! Every time I wear it, people will lokk at me and they are like.... WHOA! hehe.
It is gorgeous! I love how it is long lasting and kiss proof! :) It won't go anywhere, I promise! It is a bit drying that's why you need to keep on applying the lip balm.
It will flake when you use another lip balm or any other oil based product. Even if you eat oily foods, you will see it flake. But I love the packaging and everything else! :)
You need to have the confidence to wear this color cause it is really a statement color.

So, those are my RED lippies. I don't own a lot but I want to try out a lot more red shades. Especially the darker ones. I really think it looks better on me than the lighter, orange-y ones. :)

Just one quick tip. :) In wearing RED or any bright colored lipstick, make sure to NOT overdo it. If you want to wear red lips for the day, make sure that you put just a minimal amount of blush and eyeshadow. You don't want to look like a clown, do you? :)

REVIEW: ELF Contouring blush and Bronzing powder

"Creates a healthy and natural glow all year long. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add

a flush of color, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful

definition."  -- www.eyeslipsface.com

I think this product is one of THE most raved product from ELF. I have been hearing a lot of people saying that this product is a great dupe for NARS' Orgasm and Laguna Duo, which I cannot agree or disagree with cause I do not have the latter product. I have never seen the NARS' Duo before but I did research and the product looks so much the same.

I have been using this product, specifically the bronzer, for more than a year now. I use it every single day to give shape to my big round face. hehe AND I absolutely am in love with it. I kid you not! I cannot leave the house without it. CONTOURING makes a HUGE difference!

I LOVE IT! And it is obvious! hehe I hit pan on the bronzer already. :D
If you guys can see, the products obviously have chunks of glitters on it. And I am  not a fan of glitters, but once you put it on your face and blend it really well. The glitters/shimmers doesn't show up that much.

I don't use the blush that much cause I think its too light. And whenever I apply it on my face by itself, it doesn't show any color.
[ BTW, I am a shade of NC42 on MAC foundation ]

So, I think those people who have lighter skin shade can use the blush for a natural glow.
I sometimes combine the two color for a very sun kissed looking glow on the face.

The blush is a light peach color with a pink-ish undertone. And it has a chunks of gold glitters.
The bronzer is a warm toned brown color with chunks of gold glitters as well.

PROS :
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
* It is very pigmented! The color shows off after 1-2 coats/layer
* The packaging looks super chic! I love how compact it is.
* The bronzer is amazing! It has glitters but it doesn't really look shimmery on the face.
* It is super smooth on the skin and you wont have a hard time applying it.
* It is super cheap and you can find it at any ELF counters.
I bought it for Php 249.50 at Watsons Mall of Asia.
* It will last you a very long time.
I believe I bought it last year, June 2011. And I use it every single day! Until now I still have lots of product. :)

CONS :
:(
* The blush is too light. But its build - able.
* It is a bit chalky. [ what I do is a I tap the excess product from the brush before applying it on my face. ]

I love it more than I don't because I think for its price, the product is amazing!
I can't say enough good things about it cause I really really love it. I think a bronzer/contouring powder is a must have in every girl's kikay kit.

I cannot compare it with any other bronzers cause I haven't used other brands yet. So for now, this is my go-to product. :)

Will I repurchase it?
YES! But I would love to just buy the bronzer one cause I really don't use the blush that much.

Will I recommend it?
I will definitely recommend this to everyone! Especially those who don't have enough money yet to buy high end products like MAC or NARS. This is definitely a must have! :)

PILLOW TIME: Top 3 Pet Peeves

So, I wanted to post random stuffs in here. Personal stuffs, rants or just anything. :)
I can't think of any other name to call it or whatever, so we will call it PILLOW TIME FRIDAY! YEY!!! hehe

You can email me or FB me any suggestion or questions that you want me to answer or talk about on our Pillow Time Friday. And every last Friday of the month, I will pick one topic or question and talk about it! :) The sender of the topic that will be chosen will receive a little gift from me. ♥ Do you guys like the idea? :) [ comment down below! ]

So, anyways. For my first pillow time, I will talk about my top 3 PET PEEVES!
YES! There's a lot of petty stuffs that irritates me easily. I don't know why though!
But I am trying to be more patient and calmer now. hehe. OKAY! So, here are my Top 3! :)

1] Girls who have BRIGHT eyeshadow with BRIGHT lipstick. And girls who wear BLUSH, a little too much...

Isn't it sexy? LOL
I have seen TONS of girls who wears blue FLAT blue eyeshadow, super mega blush and a bright red orange lipstick. And it just irritates me. I am not an expert or anything. BUT come on! Before going out of your house, make sure to check yourself first in the mirror. Look if you put a little too much blush or eye shadow. Check if your lipstick is a bit too much or whatever. Just make sure that you look normal.

2] People who loves cutting into the line... [ sumingit

You will experience this on LRT or MRT most of the time. People who can't wait for their turn! I always experience this on LRT. And graaabeee lagi akong napapaaway! Those people that even if it isn't too crowded will cut you in or push you for them to get inside. NAKAKALOKA! I really really hate it when people do that. AAH! Just thinking about makes me mad! hehe

3] People who bumps at you because they're not looking, and not saying sorry...

Every time we are at the mall, especially when there's a lot of people in the mall, I always experience this. And I swear, nataas agad presyon ko! hehe

There was this time when we were walking, and then there's this group of girls who accidentally bumped my shoulder because they're talking and laughing... nang hindi nakatingin sa dinadaanan nila! And then nag-OUCH ako then I blurted, SORRY AH
And then the girl even looked at me from head to toe. THE NERVE dba?!!! So, I also looked at her [ with matching tass ng kilay ] Then girl number 2 said sorry and pulled her friend.  I said, "Fine. But make sure next time tumingin kayo sa dinadaanan nyo ah." Then me and my friend left.

I am not mean! Believe me, I'm nice! hehe But once you showed me a bad side of you, ay! Better make sure that you're ready for what I can do. I am nice to those people who are nice to me. :)

SO, that's my top 3 pet peeves. I have more though. hehe. But yeah, those are the top 3 that makes my blood boil. ( BOIL TALAGA?!?! hehe ) I hope you guys loved this random post. I hope you guys will suggest or ask me questions. :)
I want to do this for us to get to know each other more. And for you guys to get to know me in a more personal level. :)

What are your pet peeves? Share it down below! ♥

HOW TO: Sanitize your makeup

We all know how important it is to clean your brushes regularly. Well, you should clean not only your brushes BUT your makeup as well! I know! I KNOW! I also found it weird the first time I heard it. I was like, "HOW CAN YOU CLEAN YOUR MAKEUP?!??"

So, I did my research. People sanitize their makeups to avoid infections or transferring of germs. Not only MUA do it! People who use makeup on a daily basis or us, beauty lovers, should be more aware of how we should take good care of our makeup products, and of ourselves.

IS SANITIZING IMPORTANT?
It is! Overtime, your makeup builds bacteria. Whether you share it with people or not, you;re still at risk on having infections, allergies and BREAK OUTS! We don't want any of that, right?!

HOW CAN YOU SANITIZE YOUR MAKEUP?
It is super easy to sanitize your beauty products. I have read about sanitizing wipes or cleaners that are specially made for beauty products. BUT those are super expensive! Some are even more expensive than the makeup itself. So that is crazy!
I use an ordinary alcohol with 70% solution! It is way cheaper than those sanitizing products!

And here is how I do it! :)

For pressed powders including blushes, eye shadows, bronzer, highlighters and powder foundations.

What I do is first I wipe the surface with a clean tissue paper.
[ Some people scrape off the surface but I don't think its necessary if you only use your product for yourself. ]
And then I just spray a few spritz of alcohol on it and let it air dry for a few seconds to 2 minutes.

For lipsticks.

I spray a few spritz of alcohol on it and just wipe the whole lipstick bullet gently with a clean tissue. I also like spraying alcohol on the lid. And I let it [ lipstick and lid ] air dry for a few seconds.
[ Again, some people suggest or do scrape off some products, but I don't like doing it. ]
Another way to sanitize your lipstick is dipping it on the alcohol. Just get a clean empty jar, pour some alcohol and just dip the lipstick in there ( you can also do it with liners. )

For eye liners and pencil liners, or any other liners you have.

Again, I spray a few spritz of alcohol on the whole pencil, the tip and the body itself. Then, I sharpen it and spray a few spritz again on the pencil and the lid as well. After that, I just let it air dry.

You can also sanitize your cream and mousse products.
[ I forgot to take a picture of it. ]
But you can do the same thing. Spray some alcohol. If you want, you can scrape off the surface or wipe it with a clean tissue or cotton ball. And then, just let it air dry.

FYI: You let the products AIR DRY for a few seconds to let the alcohol evaporate.
Alcohol evaporates faster than water so after a few seconds you will see that your products are not wet anymore.

After letting everything air dry.

I like cleaning the package of my makeup too.
I spray it with alcohol and wipe them tissue. :)

FYI:
*You don't need to worry about the consistency or color payoff after sanitizing your makeups, cause alcohol won;t damage your product. You will see get the same color payoff, and the same consistency after doing this.
I have been sanitizing my products for a few months now, and I never experience my products drying or whatever.

*Unfortunately, you cannot sanitize mascaras, wand concealers or lip gloss. What can you do to avoid bad reactions is never share it with other people. AND always avoid double dipping! [ IT'S HARD! I KNOW! ]

*You can also spray your brushes with alcohol before and after using them.

*Make sure to wipe off your makeup area or where you put your makeup everyday to remove dusts and dirt.
