Review : BeautyUK Palette in Soho

Hey awesome people! I am feeling sick again. But I really want to post some beauty related stuffs because I only have a few of that this month. So, I will start with this cute and colorful palette from BeautyUK.

"Beauty UK offers affordable, high quality make-up and cosmetics with the latest range of colours and shades to help you achieve your own individual look."

If you haven't heard about BeautyUK yet, it is a famous drugstore brand that offers a wide variety of products for a very affordable price. Nowadays, there are tons of online shops here in our country that offers BeautyUK products.
[ Check out Skye Avenue. ]
I am a neutral kind of girl but I wanted to have at least a few colorful eye shadows in my collection. When I saw this, I really wanted to get it right away but I didn't. When I saw the Multiply Frenzy thing, I knew I needed to grab that chance to get my hands on these.
So, I got 2 BeautyUK palettes, the Earth Child palette and this Soho one. I got it last July from Skye Avenue for Php 300.00 only.
[ July Online Shopping Haul HERE

I will review the BeautyUK Palette in No.2 Soho Bright first. :)

Here is how it looks like.

At the back you can see the Ingredients and some other information.

It contains 10 colorful eye shadow. It reminds me of water color! :P Super cute!
Some are semi matte and some has a little bit of shimmers on it.
The size, I think is comparable to a 25 centavos.

Here are the swatches.

And here are my favorites out of the 10 shadows.

PROS ♥
--- Very affordable! Php 300 for 10 eye shadows is a pretty sweet deal.
---  Good color pay off. What you see is the color you get.
--- The eye shadows are soft and it is easily blendable.
--- If used with a good primer, I think it will last pretty long. And also, if you use a base the colors will pop out more.
--- The palette is small enough that it can fit any purse or even your kikay kit. It won't eat up tons of space.
--- Even if it's small, it contains a lot of products.

CONS
--- Contains  TALC and PARABENS.
--- Not all eye shadows are that pigmented. I had high hopes with this product. But I was a little disappointed. But for its price, I think it is okay.
--- Some are really chalky/powdery. So you might experience fall outs.
---  Without using a primer, it won't last that long.
--- The shadows are soft that is why it can be easily broken.
--- The packaging looks and feels cheap. The cover is made of cheap plastic thingy.

TIP:
I use a wet brush with this shadows that's why I don't experience that much fall outs.
I also use an eye shadow base [ NYX JEP in Milk ] which helps the colors to pop out more.

Will I recommend?
If you are a first timer, I think it is a good product that you can practice with.
I love the colors. I love the variety of palettes. And I will recommend it for beginners.

Will I repurchase?
No. I still have a lot of products left on the palette. And I would love to explore more on products with better quality.

Overall, I think for its price and what it can offer. It is a pretty awesome palette.
It is a handy dandy palette that you can bring around and play around with.

I hope this was helpful. :) Stay tuned for my review on the Earth Child palette.
Have you guys tried any BeautyUK products yet? Have you tried this product in particular?

EOTD: Sun Kissed.

Last Saturday, our weather here in the Philippines was super gloomy. We stayed home all day cause the rain was non-stop. I got bored, so I played with my Beauty UK palettes that I bought from Skye Avenue. :) [ my online shopping haul here. ]

And this is what I came up with. Nothing too extravagant. I just want to test out the eye shadows before I can review it. [ REVIEW SOON! ]

I called it sun kissed, just because. :) That's the first word that came up to my mind.

These are the products I used on my eyes.
1. Beauty UK palette in SOHO
2. BEAUTY UK palette in EARTH CHILD
4. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

I used the ORANGE color from my Beauty UK "soho" palette
It is really orange. Bright but a subtle orange color.

First, I used my NYX Jumbo Pencil in MILK as a base. The base will help the color of the eye shadow pop a little more.
Then, I put this orange eye shadow over my lids up to the crease area.

And then, I took this SOFT CHOCOLATE BROWN color from my Beauty UK "earth child" paletteThis eye shadow is matte but it has a bit of a shimmer. The color is so subtle that's why it is perfect to use to blend out harsh edges.

I used this all over my crease to soften the orange color a little bit. And I just blended out the harsh edges with this SOFT BROWN eye shadow.

And then I used this COPPER-y BROWN-ish color. [ I don't know how to describe it. ]
Again it is from my Beauty UK "earth child" palette. It is a darker kind of brown that has a LOT of shimmers on it.

I used this to deepen my crease a little bit more. I put it on the OUTER- V area of my eye.
And I just blended it all in.

I also used the cream-y eye shadow from the same palette to highlight my brow bone.
[ I don't have the picture ]

Here are a little bit of hand swatches of the colors.
And then after that, I just lined my eyes with my favorite eyeliner and put on some mascara. :)

There you have it. :) I hope you guys enjoyed this simple look I came up with my Beauty UK palettes. And please stay tuned for my reviews on that. SOON!

And if you guys want to try this look. Its super easy. If you do, post it on my FB page. I would love to see it! :)

BUT, last week when I got home. I signed in to fb and the very first thing I saw was Ate Dee's / Skye Avenue's post.

Php 500.00 OFF for a minimum purchase of 1000 pesos??!! That's such a steal! Multiply's Discount Frenzy was going on that time, and it only lasted for 30 minutes.

So, I clicked the link and without thinking twice I bought some stuffs. hehe
Oh and the internet was acting up that time, and I was starting to panic and all. It is crazy! I even tweeted Ate Dee asking how many time was left cause I was having a hard time with the connection and I was afraid that I won't be able to use the code. hehe

Anyways, so I ordered Wednesday. Then I paid on Friday and got my package today, Monday. I wasn't expecting it to arrive today. So, I am a happy camper! :)

The products were sealed nicely. I am impressed! I love that it was wrapped to assure that I will get the items without any damage.

All in all the total amount was 1185 but minus 500. So, I only paid 685! It was such a great deal! :)

And then I told Ate Dee if she wants someone to review any of the products she sells. I would love to do it for her. So, she included a few others products for me to review. She's super nice! Even though I am a newbie and all. She still trusted me. ! appreciate it so much! :)
