Review : Fashion21 Color Set

AH! I am sick again. BOO! I have this very bad cold and sore throat since Monday. It got even worse that's why I wasn't on most of the time. Good thing I have some few products ready for review. :)

Today I will review a palette from a famous local brand here in the Philippines. Fashion 21. If ever you haven't heard about this brand yet, here is a little background.

"Fashion 21 Cosmetics is among the leading make-up brands in the Philippines since 1985. Known for its keen color selection, trendy packaging, imported high quality and affordable prices, Fashion 21 has become every fashionista's must-have. " --- Fashion 21 Facebook Page
The palette that I am talking about is the...
Fashion 21 Color Set

I had this palette for more than a year now. This is the very first eyeshadow palette that I owned. It comes with a thin velvety type of cover/ bag.
[ My second one is the 88 Earth Color Palette from Dollface. Review here. ]

At the back you can see the ingredients and other infos about the brand.

I don't know if you guys noticed, but the packaging looks weird to me. It isn't plain black or whatever. It looks like a burnt plastic thing. But whatevs, that doesn't bother me that much. I just find it weird. LOL At first I thought mine was damaged or whatever.

I like the packaging of this one that my Dollface palette. It is also made from plastic, I guess. But it feels heavier and sturdier, in my opinion.
The mirror inside is also bigger than the one from Dollface.

It consists 48 eye shadows. From bright colors to neutral ones. It contains a mix of shimmery shadows to matte.

Here are some swatches. Bright and neutral ones.

I really love this product. Especially the brown ones. I use those for every day makeup.
I got this for Php 375.00 at Watsons, Mall of Asia.

Now, for the PROS and CONS.

 PROS. ♥
-- It is very affordable! For 48 colors, it is a pretty good deal!
-- It has good pigmentation. Not all are super pigmented but I love the pigmentation. It isn't the BEST but it is good!
-- You can use it dry or wet. I love using it with a wet brush. It'll make the color pop more.
--  Good color pay off! Amazing!
-- Long lasting even without using a primer or base. 3-4 hours is pretty long for someone who have an oily lid.
-- No fall outs.I didn't experience any fall outs at all.
-- Consists of almost all the colors a beginner needs! Perfect for newbies!

CONS.
-- Contains TALC and PARABENS.
-- It is a LITTLE chalky. JUST a little.
-- Some aren't that pigmented.
[ But as I have said, most of the shadows are really pigmented. ]
-- HONESTLY, other than the talc and parabens. I can't think of anything else.

Will I repurchase?!
I don't think so. I still have tons of product on it. I haven't actually hit pan on any colors yet.

Will I recommend?!
YES! I think it is perfect for beginners like me. I really recommend it if you want to play safe and just start trying to apply eye makeup. I also recommend this to anyone. I think it is another hidden "GEM" that you can find inside Watsons.
You can find this at any Fashion21 counters.

Overall, I love the product. Especially the browns and neutral ones. AH! Perfect for every day and you can also use it on special occasions. It also contains colors if you want to experiment more. I think for the price, it is really amazing. :)

I hope you guys like that review. If ever you guys have any suggestions on products that I should try or you want me to try. Please don't hesitate to comment down below. If you guys have questions or anything. Feel free to ask me. ♥

Have you guys tried this palette already?! Or have you ever heard of it?!
What are your thoughts about it?! Please let me know.

Gifts from Taiwan!

Hi guys! I am sorry I wasn't able to post something for my pillow time yesterday. I am feeling kind of out of the weather yesterday, until now. And I can't think of an interesting topic, so yeah. Sorry about that. Anyways, here's a random post of the things I got from my aunt who works in Taiwan. She sent it to my cousin and then my cousin gave it to me this morning. :)

So here are the things I got. I only asked for the mascara, but yey for the extra stuffs. :)

1. Sexy Look's Bird Nest + Gold Caviar Face Mask
I researched about it on yahoo and that is where I found out about the name. hehe. :P
And I also saw that it is Taiwan's No.1 Best Selling Mask. So,we will see about that. :)

2. Watsons Facial Absorbent Paper
I got 3 of these but I gave 1 to my sister. This one works! She gave me the pink one before, and it works. And it is affordable, I believe. I don't think we have this kind of blotting paper here though.

3. Victoria's Secret Exhilarating Body Wash in Pure Seduction
This one smells like fruit juice or something. hehe. It doesn't have a strong scent, and I love that.

4. BOB Super Curl Mascara in Black
Last year, my aunt also gave men a mascara from this brand. And it works so good! I told her how much I love it and stuff, so she said she will send me another one.

So, that's it for this mini haul. I will be review some stuffs in the next few days, so watch out for those. :) And yeah, I will make it up to you guys as soon as I feel better. :)
Thank you for those who really reads my blog. I appreciate all your support so much!

Have you tried any of the products I mentioned? Or have you ever heard of them?

Review : [ 4U2 Series ] dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder SPF 15 PA ++

AH! Rain!! You make me feel sleepy and lazy all the time. And no matter how much I am in-love with the rain, I really am missing the sun now. Anyways, today I will be reviewing another product for my 4U2 Series. :) [ Reviewed the BB Cream last week: HERE ]

I have heard a LOT of raves about this product for the last couple of weeks now. I wasn't even planning on buying this one even if I have heard a lot of good things about it already. I was really hesitant to try it out. I doubt that it really works and what not. I thought it's just the powder, nothing special. But the hype got into me, so I gave in and bought it.
[ July Haul : HERE

And I am talking about the,
4U2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder SPF 15 PA ++ .
[ Its too long huh?! I don't know why they have to have looong names. ]

"Confidence Builder through All Day Complexion Perfection. Exclusive formulation for even and natural skin tones and oil control. With sun protection, too. Be a dreamGirl!"

It comes in this cute tiny pink container that can easily fit your purse. I like that it is so compact that's why it won't eat up a lot of space in your kikay kit or bag.
It also comes with a small sponge applicator.

They only have 3 shades. And I am in the shade of number 3. And I think it is perfect for my skin tone. :)

Here is some swatches. It looks a bit whiter on my hand BUT it isn't on my face. It really blends well into my skin.

And just like my BB Cream, the important infos and dates are also listed on the packaging.
[ Sorry I wasn't able to take a picture of that. ]

Here, now's the PROS and CONS.
PROS
-- It has SPF 15. That's a good thing especially in our country which is very sunny, most of the time.
-- It glides on to the skin smoothly. And blends well with your skin really well.
-- It leaves your skin smooth and soft looking.
-- Its long lasting! I wore alone one time. And It lasted me for more than 6 hours.
-- It has a good oil control! I have oily skin. But after a few hours, you won't see any shiny-ness or whatever. You'll feel that the oil is already building up after 5-6 hours but it isn't really that oily.
-- It so affordable! It only costs Php 194.oo. And the availability is very easy because you can find it at any 4U2 Counters nationwide.

CONS
-- It has a BIT of a smell that I don't like. It smells like old powders. But its tolerable.
-- It can look cakey if its not blended that well.
-- The coverage isn't that good.
-- It has talc and paraben.
-- There isn't a separator or whatever you call that, for the sponge and product itself.
It just isn't that hygienic.
-- It can accentuate dry patches.
-- It is only available in 3 shades.

FYI
I personally prefer using the sponge because it gives better coverage and it really evens out the product unto the skin. That's how I like it.

Will I recommend?
YES. I think it is worth the hype! The price is good. Quality is good! I love it!

Will I repurchase?
Yes. I think it is perfect for go to women. I cannot say enough good things about it. hehe I really think its a GREAT product.

All in all, it is a GREAT product for its price. Very cheap but I love it. It's a powder but it can be used as a foundation. You can use it alone, but do not expect a good coverage. I love this product. But I stopped using it for few days cause I think, MAYBE it is causing my skin to breakout. So, we will see.
But other than that, I think its perfect! Its amazing! :)

There are a lot of hidden "gems" in Watsons. I have never ever used any 4U2 products before and I think their products have good quality.

ANYWAYS,  it has been raining really hard. I hope all of you , your families and friends are all safe! STAY DRY!

Have you tried this already? How was it? What do you think of it?

Review : [ 4U2 Series ] DreamGirl Faith BB Cream

The first time I heard about BB Cream, I didn't know what it is. So, I researched what they are and where they came from. And this is what I found. :)

BB cream, also known as Blemish Balm, Blemish Base or Beblesh Balm (due to an apparent copyright on the word "Blemish"), is a cosmetic item sold mainly in East and Southeast Asia, although larger beauty brands are increasingly introducing BB creams to Western markets as well. Originally formulated in Germany by dermatologist Dr. Christine Schrammek in the 1950s, the cream was initially used to protect skin after laser procedures and surgery, while also providing light coverage. Introduced to South Korea and Japan in the 1980s, BB cream has been named "the secret of Korean actresses" and has been heavily endorsed by Korean celebrities,. which gained it large exposure in these Asian markets. ---www.wikipedia.org

So it is pretty obvious that it is a BIG thing to Asian women, especially to Koreans. I am never that excited to try one, I don't know why. Maybe because I have heard that it is just like tinted moisturizer. It won't give you a good coverage so, I wasn't really excited.

A few weeks ago I went to the mall and "HOARDED" some stuffs. :D [ click HERE for the haul ]
I got 3 products from the brand 4U2. A BB Cream, BB Powder and Blush. I got the BB Cream, just because. I want to just try it cause the girl said that it is "lightweight" compared to foundations and all that "sales talking."  :D

For those of you who haven't seen or heard about the brand, 4U2. it is a brand originated from Thailand. You can find 4U2 Cosmetics in any Watsons Store Nationwide.

Designed by and ultimately 4 twenty something and teenagers, 4U2 is a brand dedicated 2 the challenge of self-expression and the pursuit of self-discovery. The spirit and originality of LA mixed with celebrity and fashion serve as our inspiration, and we hope it inspires U2.
--- READ MORE HERE

Now, here is the product. The 4U2 dreamGirl Faith BB Cream. The product is described as a "One stop Makeup Base, Foundation and Powder."

It comes in this cute little pink tube with 30 ml of product inside.
At the back you will see the instructions on how to apply and the warning/ care and safety. [ You can also see the dates at the back of the product. ]

The ingredients and the important dates were listed on the packaging.

When you twist the cap open, this is what you will see. Its not that messy because the hole is just teeny tiny. You will have to squeeze the tube for the product to come out.

I like it consistency. It isn't too liquid-y but it isn't that creamy as well.
It has a little hint of fragrance to it, but that doesn't really bother me. You won't be able to smell it after a few minutes.

Here is a hand swatch.

My hand isn't that dark believe me. Its just the lighting.
If you can see , the color is a lighter than my skin tone.  But once it blended in properly, it doesn't look that white anymore.

To summarize, I will show you guys the PROS and the CONS. ♥
PROS
* It comes in this cute tube that can fit your purse without eating up a lot of space.
* It is really lightweight compared to my liquid foundies. I love that I don't feel anything when I'm wearing it.
* It is very affordable. I bought it for Php 184.00 from Watsons.
* The ingredients are listed.
* It leaves your skin with a super smooth finish. And it glides on to the skin smoothly as well.
* It dries up a little bit fast. But not as fast as my Revlon Colorstay.
* It lasts pretty long considering that I have an oily skin.
* I feel like my skin is absorbing the product. And it feels moisturizing.

CONS
* The ingredients are listed. BUT not to the tube itself, it is listed on the packaging.
* It has TALC. Some people can be very allergic to it. And I have read somewhere that talc is closely related to asbestos that is a carcinogen. It can cause cancer.
*  It tends to leave a white cast and to look a bit cakey when it is not blended in so well.
* It only gives you a light coverage. You can't put too much cause it will really look cakey.
 * It is only available in ONE shade. Universal color.

 FYI
I use my 4u2 BB Powder to set it.
I use my bare fingers to apply the BB Cream evenly. Because I find that it looks cakey whenever I use my ELF brush.

I LIKE it but DON'T love it. It is a good product but it didn't impressed me that much.
Will I repurchase?
Maybe not. I don't use it everyday because of the talc. That's why I still have a lot of it left.  But I use it every time I feel lazy. :D

Will I recommend?
Yes. But it is not a must have. It is great because of the smooth looking finish, and it feels smooth as well! Maybe you'll love it. :)

HAVE YOU GUYS TRIED THIS PRODUCT ALREADY? HOW WAS IT?

July 2o12 Haul!

I didn't see this coming. HAHA Remember when I told you guys that I'm saving blah blah?!? Well, I am quite failing. GRABE! For the past few weeks I was really REALLY avoiding the mall. AS IN TALAGA! But today Chuchay needed her haircut and at the same time my family and some of my relatives from my mom's side decided to have lunch together. So, we went to SM [ Mall of Asia ] to do those. And I knew it! The moment I stepped on Watsons, its done! hehe.

Have you guys experienced that? Once you started to buy one stuff, you just can't stop yourself anymore. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED! Lalo na sa Watsons!!! hehe I admit, I am an impulsive buyer [ most of the time ]. A little bit of sale stalk, then I'll be like YES, SURE, OKAY, I'll get it!  I think I have a serious problem here. hahahaha

ANYWAYS! Enough of the talking. [ nasarapan sa kwento! :D ]
Let's proceed to my haul, yeah? :)

So, those are the things I got.
Muka ba kong nagiipon??!? SERIOUSLY?! :P

I got 3 things from the brand 4U2. I only wanted to try their powder, but I end up getting 2 more! Congrats to me! hehe And the mirror is free. When you buy 3 products, I think you'll get 1 free mirror.
Watsons, Mall of Asia ( main mall, beside National Bookstore )

1.4U2 Dreamgirl Faith BB Cream [ Universal Color ]
I bought this because the lady there "sales talked" me. haha I don't know if that makes sense. She said it's a nice base for the powder and blah blah. We'll see.
So, I think it is only available in just 1 shade. It retails for Php 184.00 .

2.  4U2 Dreamgirl Lovelight BB Powder [ number 3 ]
Available in 3 shades, I believe. I got it for Php 194.00

3. 4U2 Dreamgirl Together Double blush [ number 4 ]
I bought it because SHE also said it's good. haha

I think they have 5 different shades. It is Php 194.00 as well.

And then these are the few other makeup products I got.
WnW and EB from Watsons, Mall of Asia ( main mall, beside National Bookstore )
Kokuryu and Maybelline from Watsons, Mall of Asia ( Department Store )

4. Wet n Wild Coloricon [ TRIO ] in Walking on Eggshells
I got it for Php 319.00.

5. Ever Bilena Matte lipstick in Mauvey and Love that Red
[ these are not for me ;) ]

6. Kokuryu Summer Cake in Sunset Tan
I got this cause a I heard some good reviews about it. Its cheap and I want to test it out. :)
Retails for Php 99.00

7. Maybelline Colorsensational in Fifth Ave. Fuchsia
I saw this from thebeautyjunkee. And when I saw it on her, I knew I need to buy it! hehe
It is for Php. 399.00

And then I remembered that I really want to try out the Lory's hair cream thingy, so I went to the other Watsons near the cinema to get it. But I ended up buying a few more stuffs. HOORAY! hehe
Nichido lashes and Fashion 21 lashes and empty cream jars from Watsons, Mall of Asia ( main mall, beside National Bookstore )
Nichido sponge from Watsons, Mall of Asia ( Department Store )
The rest from Watsons, Mall of Asia ( at the back, near the cinema )

8. Nichido tru lashes in Glamorous Lashes in black.
I seriously didn't know that it costs Php 150.00 until just NOW.

9. Fashion21 Natural look eyelashes
They only have 1 design/style. It costs Php 65.00

10. Watsons Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strip
Retails for Php 109.00

11. Mini Razors ( that's not the name, I just made that up. hehe. The words are in japanese form )
This costs Php. 79.75

12. Lory's Deep Moisturizing hair cream in Fruit Cocktail
They only have 4 "flavors" available there. I was hoping to get the Chocolate one but they don't have it and this is the only on that has a decent smell on it. There's this snake tail/skin thingy and shea butter, and I forgot the other one.
450 g for Php 185.00

13. Empty Cream Jars
I will use it for a DIY. hehe I bought almost all of them for the BLOG's sake! hehe.
I got it for Php 79.75

14. Nichido sponge
I got this for my Kokuryu foundation. I don't even know why I need to bought one! hehe
It cost me Php 40.00

15. Solemate shoes ( department store )
Buy 2 pairs for Php 399.75
So, I have another FAIL story for you guys. I am normally size 8 or 8 and a half. I tried the brown one there, and they only have size 9. They look pretty decent. Not too big at all, it looks perfect when I tried it on. And then I looked for a newer pair, cause the one I tried has some little damage. And then the blue floral one is also size 9 and its a perfect fit!
When I got home, I tried it on and the brown is TOO big for me already! It's impossible. And it made me sad. So, I just gave it to my younger sister who has a bigger size than me. BUMMER!!!

So, that's it for my UNEXPECTED haul. hehe I enjoyed shopping, YES. But I don't feel good being an impulsive buyer. Sometimes it makes me realize how UNIMPORTANT some of the things I bought are. I still need to learn to control and be wiser. Especially every time I go inside Watsons. There's just something about Watsons that makes me feel like I need to buy something every time I go there. And it isn't good. I really want to kinda change that.
:)

Do you guys ever feel that too? COMMENT BELOW! Let's chat! :)
