Review : NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil

I know, I KNOW! It has been awhile since I posted a review on my blog. There are a lot things of things going on and I am really having a hard time juggling everything here and there. So, I hope you guys understand that. :) I am trying my very best to not "abandon" my blog though. LOL So anyways, here is my super late review on my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.

This is how the pencil looks like. It is an ordinary pencil but a JUMBO sized one.
All the information you need is written on the pencil itself. You can't see their the important dates though. [ FORGOT TO TAKE A PHOTO. ]
HYPO- ALLERGENIC / CRUELTY FREE

Net wt. 5g/ O.18oz
I got the shade 604 Milk. It is a creamy liner that can be used as a good eyeshadow base.

Here is a swatch of the liner.
It is very white and creamy.

The first one is a swatch of an eye shadow from my Wet N Wild Silent Treatment Trio.
Second is a swatch of the same eye shadow WITH the NYX JEP as a base.
And then, a swatch of the NYX JEP In Milk.

I hope you guys can see the difference. :)

PROS ♥
* It is very creamy that's why it glides on your skin easily.
* You can blend it easily as well. NO HASSLE!
* It is an amazing eye shadow base. I hope you can see it from the swatches up there! :)
It really makes the color pop out more and make it look more pigmented.
* It is affordable. Php 180. 00 pesos is not that expensive, I think.
and you get a lot of product too.I have been using this for 4-5 months already.
* Very handy. It won't eat up a lot of space in your kit or purse or whatever.

CONS.
* It isn't available locally. BUT a lot of online store sells NYX products already.
* It won't help in preventing oil in your lids/crease. It is a base not a primer.
[ It never claims to help the make up last longer so I think it isn't an issue. ]
* In connection with the prior statement, if you don't use a primer under it. It will help the oil build up easier.

I have heard from a few people that they experienced something weird the first time they sharpen it. I did too! I thought it broke or whatever cause it feels like it did.
BUT do not worry! It will come easy after the first time you sharpen it. :)

Will I repurchase?!
Yes. BUT not anytime soon.
I use this as a base and sometimes on my lower waterline as well. It is a good product. Amazing base as I have said. I love using it even with my not so pigmented shadows. :)

Will I recommend?
Yes.
If you guys are looking for an eye shadow base, this one is a good one! Just make sure to have a good primer as well. :)

Overall, I love this product! I think it is amazing! :) Awesome for its price.

Have you guys tried this product already?
How was your experience with it?
Any thoughts?! Comment below! ♥

Review : Fashion21 Color Set

AH! I am sick again. BOO! I have this very bad cold and sore throat since Monday. It got even worse that's why I wasn't on most of the time. Good thing I have some few products ready for review. :)

Today I will review a palette from a famous local brand here in the Philippines. Fashion 21. If ever you haven't heard about this brand yet, here is a little background.

"Fashion 21 Cosmetics is among the leading make-up brands in the Philippines since 1985. Known for its keen color selection, trendy packaging, imported high quality and affordable prices, Fashion 21 has become every fashionista's must-have. " --- Fashion 21 Facebook Page
The palette that I am talking about is the...
Fashion 21 Color Set

I had this palette for more than a year now. This is the very first eyeshadow palette that I owned. It comes with a thin velvety type of cover/ bag.
[ My second one is the 88 Earth Color Palette from Dollface. Review here. ]

At the back you can see the ingredients and other infos about the brand.

I don't know if you guys noticed, but the packaging looks weird to me. It isn't plain black or whatever. It looks like a burnt plastic thing. But whatevs, that doesn't bother me that much. I just find it weird. LOL At first I thought mine was damaged or whatever.

I like the packaging of this one that my Dollface palette. It is also made from plastic, I guess. But it feels heavier and sturdier, in my opinion.
The mirror inside is also bigger than the one from Dollface.

It consists 48 eye shadows. From bright colors to neutral ones. It contains a mix of shimmery shadows to matte.

Here are some swatches. Bright and neutral ones.

I really love this product. Especially the brown ones. I use those for every day makeup.
I got this for Php 375.00 at Watsons, Mall of Asia.

Now, for the PROS and CONS.

 PROS. ♥
-- It is very affordable! For 48 colors, it is a pretty good deal!
-- It has good pigmentation. Not all are super pigmented but I love the pigmentation. It isn't the BEST but it is good!
-- You can use it dry or wet. I love using it with a wet brush. It'll make the color pop more.
--  Good color pay off! Amazing!
-- Long lasting even without using a primer or base. 3-4 hours is pretty long for someone who have an oily lid.
-- No fall outs.I didn't experience any fall outs at all.
-- Consists of almost all the colors a beginner needs! Perfect for newbies!

CONS.
-- Contains TALC and PARABENS.
-- It is a LITTLE chalky. JUST a little.
-- Some aren't that pigmented.
[ But as I have said, most of the shadows are really pigmented. ]
-- HONESTLY, other than the talc and parabens. I can't think of anything else.

Will I repurchase?!
I don't think so. I still have tons of product on it. I haven't actually hit pan on any colors yet.

Will I recommend?!
YES! I think it is perfect for beginners like me. I really recommend it if you want to play safe and just start trying to apply eye makeup. I also recommend this to anyone. I think it is another hidden "GEM" that you can find inside Watsons.
You can find this at any Fashion21 counters.

Overall, I love the product. Especially the browns and neutral ones. AH! Perfect for every day and you can also use it on special occasions. It also contains colors if you want to experiment more. I think for the price, it is really amazing. :)

I hope you guys like that review. If ever you guys have any suggestions on products that I should try or you want me to try. Please don't hesitate to comment down below. If you guys have questions or anything. Feel free to ask me. ♥

Have you guys tried this palette already?! Or have you ever heard of it?!
What are your thoughts about it?! Please let me know.

Review : NYX Round Lipsticks.

WARNING: PHOTO HEAVY post ]

Hey! I was out the whole day, that is why I am making this post just now. So, I will go straight to the main "purpose" of the post now. :)

If you have been following me for quite some time now. You already know how I adore lipsticks. As I have mentioned on my Lipstick Tag post, I own 34 lippies as of the moment. 15 of them are from NYX Cosmetics' Round Lipsticks. I have quite a lot of it because I was overwhelmed on how cheap it is and how beautiful the colors are. I just cant help myself. LOL.

NYX Round Lipsticks.

I got it last year for Php 100.00 each but I had to wait for more than a month. I forgot where though. It was from an online shop but I seriously forgot the name. But Kering-keri Store sells them for PHp 130.00 each, on hand. CHECK THE STORE NOW!

HERE ARE THE SHADES I OWN. [ not in particular order. ]
I actually got a lot of pink shades because I want to "play" safe. I wanted to have wearable shades so that my money won't go to waste. BUT honestly, I don't really use them a lot. Why?! Read on!

I like how simple and chic the packaging is. It is a simple black tube but the "designs" around the brand name and the fonts used added some fun vibe to it.
What you see on the bottom is also the color you get. [ in most of the shades. ]

You can also see the ingredients list and other important infos on the side of the tube.
And then you can see the shade and the weight on the top of the lid.

Hand Swatches.
PINKS.

NUDES.

And the REDS.
[ If you want to see lips swatches on my RED lipsticks. Click HERE. ]

The finish of the lipsticks aren't matte. But it isn't too glossy as well. They are very creamy but not all of them are pigmented enough for my super pigmented lips. :D

PROS.
-- They have a wide range of colors that you can choose from. Nudes to Pinks and Reds.
-- It is very creamy. So, it glides on smoothly on the lips.
Good pigmentation. I do think that the pigmentation is quite good. Especially the darker shades.
-- Its cheap! I got it for 100. And I have seen online shops selling it for 130 -150 pesos.
Visit Kering- keri Store on Facebook
-- I like the packaging. Very simple but not too dull. I thinks it looks so chic. And also, it won't eat up tons of space inside your kit.
-- I think they smell really nice. For me, they do smell like candies. That might be an issu for others but not for me. :)

CONS
-- They melt easily! Especially in the kind of weather we have. A lot of them that I own are broken already because of the heat. I think they are really made for cold countries.
-- Some aren't that pigmented.
-- The lasting power isn't that long. It will fade after 2-3 hours.  And I don't like that I need to keep on retouching it.
-- They are not moisturizing at all. BUT isn't that drying as well.
-- Sometimes I don't like the creaminess of it. Some shades tend to look super thick after 2 or more coats.
UPDATE: For others it smells and taste like soap. I don't know why it smells like candy for me. hehe. But I agree that it taste like soap.

Here are the TOP 5 shades that I love the most.
[ lip swatches ]
Fire, Thalia, Spellbound, Hero and Paris.

If you guys notices, my upper lip is really dark. I do not smoke or anything. But it is like that ever since I was a kid. That's why I cannot really wear sheer lipsticks or whatever. :)

I also like and recommend Hermes, Fig, Louisiana and Pink Lyric.

Will I repurchase?!
I don't think I need more from the brand/line. I have been meaning to buy lipsticks with BETTER quality and lipsticks that I can really use.

Will I recommend?!
YES! I think it is perfect for every day use. If you want a huge selection of colors, definitely check this out!

Overall, I like them. They make me happy!
I have said that I will buy BETTER quality lippies but I didn't say that there are bad ones. I was just saying that I know there are a lot more better ones out there. But overall, for the price, quality and color selection. THUMBS UP! ♥

So, that's it for this review. I know a few people who are waiting for this one. hehe
I apologize that it took me awhile. :) I hope you guys enjoyed this. MWAH! ♥

Have you guys tried any shade from this brand/line already?! What shade is your most favorite?! Do you want ti try this lipsticks out?!

Review : [ 4U2 Series ] dreamGirl Together Double Blush

Here I am again for my 4U2 "mini" series. hehe I just made that up. But yeah, this is going to be the last product that I will be reviewing from the dreamGirl collection.
[ BB Cream review HERE. BB Powder review HERE. ]

I am not a blush person. I don't really mind if it's cheap or not, as long as it adds color to my cheeks it's all good. I pretty much use the same blush for a few months already, and I am fine with that. I can totally control myself when it comes to blushes. But when I bought the BB Powder from 4U2, the SA recommended this blush. This was the only shade available at that moment because all the other shades were already sold out. And this piece is pretty much the last one. So, I said okay. I got it! [ impulsive buyer, yeah?! Who can relate? :P ]

And the blush that I am talking about is the...
4U2 dreamGirl Together Double Blush

"Stunning color combinations for Formal or Fun. Micro fine for Easy On. Long Lasting. Be a dreamGirl! "

Of course, just like the BB powder, it comes in a cute tiny packaging that makes it "kikay kit" friendly. It won't eat up a lot of space because its really compact.
It also came with a mini blush brush that is really soft, but I never really use that.

I honestly don't know how many shades they have but mine is in No. 04.
You get 2 blushes, in one. Good deal! :)

1. MIX ; 2 DARKER ; 3 LIGHTEST

Here are the swatches on my fingers. Sorry, I forgot to swatch it at the back of my hand.
The number 1 is the mix of the two blushes. Number 2 is the darker shade and the third one is, obviously, the lightest.
The lightest is a bit frosted, I think. And also have shimmers on it. The darker one have more shimmer than the lightest. When you mix them together, it turns out super pretty.
It will make your skin look "glowing."

And again, just like the other 2 products, the ingredients and other important details are on the packaging as well.

Let us now proceed to the PROS and CONS, shall we?!

PROS♥
-- I like the color! Orange-y peach-y colors really compliments morena or dark skintones.
-- I love that it's really soft and smooth. When you touch it, the texture is really amazing.
-- I love that its a "2-in-1" blush. You can use any of the two or mix them together.
-- It will leave a soft and smooth looking finish on your face.
-- It has shimmers on it. But it won't make you look like a disco ball.  It will just give you an amazing glow. It will make your skin look healthier.
-- Good pigmentation. I like that it isn't SUPER pigmented so that I can control it more.
--  It is affordable. I got this for Php 194.00 only. Amazing product for the prize!
-- You can see the ingredients and other infos on the box/packaging.

CONS
-- It is always out of stock. You can find their counters on any Watsons, I believe. But yeah, I being always OOS is one downside.
--  Some of the ingredients used are "harmful." It contains TALC, PARABENS and FRAGRANCE.
-- It is a little bit chalky.
-- I don't like that the brush does'nt have a "separate" compartment.
-- It has an "old" powder scent. Just like the BB powder. BUT it is tolerable for me.

Will you recommend it?
Yes. I think for the price, this product is awesome. I like it more than I don't, so yes. :) I will. This shade, especially, I will recommend for those ladies who have morena or darker skin tone. :)

Will you repurchase?
I am not sure yet, honestly. NOT because I don't like it but because I think I don't need too many blushes. But if ever, I might check out the other shades.

Overall, I love it. I don't use it as much as the first month though cause I think they're breaking me out. :| I am not sure yet though. I am still "experimenting" o what is causing my breakouts. Maybe just the lack of sleep. But yeah! I will keep you guys posted.

I hope you guys enjoyed that! :) If you guys haven't my reviews on the other 4U2 products, here are the links.

And here are the links of my 2 most recent posts. :)
