Review : Fashion21 Color Set

AH! I am sick again. BOO! I have this very bad cold and sore throat since Monday. It got even worse that's why I wasn't on most of the time. Good thing I have some few products ready for review. :)

Today I will review a palette from a famous local brand here in the Philippines. Fashion 21. If ever you haven't heard about this brand yet, here is a little background.

"Fashion 21 Cosmetics is among the leading make-up brands in the Philippines since 1985. Known for its keen color selection, trendy packaging, imported high quality and affordable prices, Fashion 21 has become every fashionista's must-have. " --- Fashion 21 Facebook Page
The palette that I am talking about is the...
Fashion 21 Color Set

I had this palette for more than a year now. This is the very first eyeshadow palette that I owned. It comes with a thin velvety type of cover/ bag.
[ My second one is the 88 Earth Color Palette from Dollface. Review here. ]

At the back you can see the ingredients and other infos about the brand.

I don't know if you guys noticed, but the packaging looks weird to me. It isn't plain black or whatever. It looks like a burnt plastic thing. But whatevs, that doesn't bother me that much. I just find it weird. LOL At first I thought mine was damaged or whatever.

I like the packaging of this one that my Dollface palette. It is also made from plastic, I guess. But it feels heavier and sturdier, in my opinion.
The mirror inside is also bigger than the one from Dollface.

It consists 48 eye shadows. From bright colors to neutral ones. It contains a mix of shimmery shadows to matte.

Here are some swatches. Bright and neutral ones.

I really love this product. Especially the brown ones. I use those for every day makeup.
I got this for Php 375.00 at Watsons, Mall of Asia.

Now, for the PROS and CONS.

 PROS. ♥
-- It is very affordable! For 48 colors, it is a pretty good deal!
-- It has good pigmentation. Not all are super pigmented but I love the pigmentation. It isn't the BEST but it is good!
-- You can use it dry or wet. I love using it with a wet brush. It'll make the color pop more.
--  Good color pay off! Amazing!
-- Long lasting even without using a primer or base. 3-4 hours is pretty long for someone who have an oily lid.
-- No fall outs.I didn't experience any fall outs at all.
-- Consists of almost all the colors a beginner needs! Perfect for newbies!

CONS.
-- Contains TALC and PARABENS.
-- It is a LITTLE chalky. JUST a little.
-- Some aren't that pigmented.
[ But as I have said, most of the shadows are really pigmented. ]
-- HONESTLY, other than the talc and parabens. I can't think of anything else.

Will I repurchase?!
I don't think so. I still have tons of product on it. I haven't actually hit pan on any colors yet.

Will I recommend?!
YES! I think it is perfect for beginners like me. I really recommend it if you want to play safe and just start trying to apply eye makeup. I also recommend this to anyone. I think it is another hidden "GEM" that you can find inside Watsons.
You can find this at any Fashion21 counters.

Overall, I love the product. Especially the browns and neutral ones. AH! Perfect for every day and you can also use it on special occasions. It also contains colors if you want to experiment more. I think for the price, it is really amazing. :)

I hope you guys like that review. If ever you guys have any suggestions on products that I should try or you want me to try. Please don't hesitate to comment down below. If you guys have questions or anything. Feel free to ask me. ♥

Have you guys tried this palette already?! Or have you ever heard of it?!
What are your thoughts about it?! Please let me know.

Review :[ ELF Get the Look Set Series ] ELF Eyeshadow Trio

Happy Monday! I planed on reviewing my NYX lipsticks today, but I will just do that tomorrow. For today, I will be reviewing the eye shadow trio that I got from ELF's 5 piece "Get the look" eye set last June. [ Mid- June Haul. ] The set contains one lash curler, 1 eye shadow trio, 1 mascara, 1 eye shadow brush and 1 liquid eyeliner. I will review the lash curler, mascara and eye liner soon.

But for tonight, I will do a short review on the trio first. :)

Talc, Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Dimethicone, Polyisobutene, PVM/MA Decadiene Crosspolymer. May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Tin Oxide (CI 77861), Yellow No.5 Lake (CI 19140), Red No.40 Lake (CI 16035), Blue No.1 Lake (CI 42090)

Bought the set for Php 399.00 at Watsons, MAll of Asia.

I am not really sure on how much it weigh because I do not have the box with me anymore. But I think the size is pretty good.

The 3 eye shadows are shimmery but not the "messy" kind. And I like that!
The colors are perfect for neutral smokey eye. Or some bronze-y look. I love the colors!

And now, to sum up this short review. Here are the PROS and CONS. :)

PROS. ♥
-- Good Pigmentation! It isn't super pigmented. The black/darkest one isn't that pigmented but after 2-3 swipes you can already see the color.
TIP: Use an eye primer or eye shadow base. I like using the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk and it works great! ♥
--- It is super compact and it won't eat up a lot of space in your kit.
-- It is amazing for its price!
-- It is easy to blend.
-- It last pretty long. [ without a primer or base ] 4-5 hours, I think.
-- I love the colors. The combination is just perfect for everyday neutral look, and even for special occasions.
-- Very easy to apply.

CONS
-- It has talc on it. And maybe some other bad stuffs that I am not familiar with yet.
-- It is a bit chalky.
-- It isn't that pigmented. [ I know it contradicts one of my PROS but this one doesn't bother me that much. But it might be a bit of an issue for others. ]

Will I repurchase?
The same trio?! Maybe not. But I want to try out other shadows from ELF. I might purchase other palettes from the brand.

Will I recommend?
The eye shadow. YES! I am not sure if you can buy this one alone but if ever you can. It is pretty good. Especially for beginners.

Overall, it is amazing considering the price. Not the BEST and MOST pigmented out there. But I think you get what you pay for. And this is amazing for the price.
 [ ulit ulit?! redundant!? :D ]

I hope you guys enjoyed this short review. I will be reviewing the other products from the set next time. I want it to be like a "series." :D
Thanks so much for reading! MWAH! ♥

Have you guys tried this out already? What palette from ELF do you want me to try out or do you recommend?

Review : Dollface Cosmetics' 88 Earth Color Palette

Hi guys! I know I have been MIA for the last couple of days. We were a bit affected by the monsoon and then ever since Friday, until now I am sick. It's crazy!  I'm trying my best though. I have tons of products to share with you guys, so I hope you guys stay tuned. :)

Anyways, I just want to make a quick review on the Dollface Cosmetics' 88 Earth Color Palette. My first palette is the Fashion 21 Color Set and this is my second. I have been wanting to review these 2 palettes ever since but I always forget. But when I saw Miss Iya Boto of From Nails to Makeup's review on her palette from Dollface, it reminded me to review mine. [ Click HERE for her post. ] So, here's my review on the product. :)

I have heard tons of good things about this brand before I bought my palette. There was a time when I see lots gurus on you tube use products from the brand and love it. I was super curious about the brand especially there palettes and brushes. If you guys have been reading my blog ever since, you'll know that I am not really an "eyeshadow" girl. I can go out without it. But there came a point where in I really wanted to start learning to apply an eyeshadow. I wanted to broaden my knowledge on applying makeup.
I bought my Fashion Color Set and played with it for a couple of months. And then I bought this one to try out more products and because I really am wanting to have a palette with a huge amount of color selection.

I bought this from Dollface Cosmetic's Facebook page
Bought it for Php 700.00 but the original price is Php 950.00.
I got it for a cheaper price cause it was on sale for being slightly damaged. But when I got it, I did not see any damage at all. Lucky huh!? :)

I chose the 88 Earth Color Palette because I love neutrals!
I think for beginners neutral colors are great and safest colors to play with. I really love neutral colors that's why I got this one.

You can also see the Ingredients at the back of the palette. Its a nice thing that they included the ingredients list on the palette itself.

So, that's what the inside looks like. It OBVIOUSLY have 88 Earth-y Neutral colors. The color selection is good. From whites, blues, greens, purples, oranges ad browns. Shimmery, Satin and Matte. All in one palette!

There's also a small sized mirror inside. And it also came with 2 double ended sponge tip applicator, that I never use also.

Here are some swatches of my top 5 eye shadows from the palette. I use the gold-ish one and the purples a lot. :)

PROS
-- Good pigmentation.
-- For the number of eye shadow colors, the price is worth it!
-- Packaging looks chic. I love it!
-- Online transaction was super smooth.
-- When I got it (last year), it was really sealed. I love it when sellers make sure that the products are safe.
-- The colors are blend able.
-- Good color pay off!
-- Combination of matte, satin and shimmery shadows.

CONS
-- It contains TALC and PARABENS. NOT GOOD!
-- Some of the shadows are very chalky.
-- Not all colors are pigmented. You'll need apply more than 1 layer for you to see the color.
-- The lasting power isn't that good. It comes off easily.
-- The shiny finish of the packaging is very prone to scratches. Mine really looks super old!
-- The palette doesn't look sturdy. It is made of some plastic material, I think.

TIPS : Make sure to use eye shadow primer and/or base to make the color pop more. And to help the shadows last a little longer on your lids. Especially when you have super duper oily lids like mine.

Will I recommend?
Yes. For beginners especially. I think it's a good product if you're only starting to explore more about makeup. It is not that expensive but then you get a huge color selection. I also recommend it to anyone who LOVES neutrals like me. I think its a good addition to anyone's makeup stash.

Will I repurchase?
No. I still haven't use 80 percent of the colors. And I am planing on investing on a neutral palette with better quality. But if ever I want to start playing with more colors, I might try some of their palettes.

Overall, I think it's a good product! I love playing with it and it's a safe palette because you ca use it everyday or on special occasions.

You can check out their FB page to see all their products ad where you ca get them.

Have you tried any of their products yet? Their brushes? Palettes? What do you think of the brand? Do you guys want me to review my Fashion 21 Color?
