September Lovin' : Fall 2012 Makeup Look

WARNING : Sort of Long post. :P

Tonight's post is the 3rd and the last installment of my month long collaboration with 2 lovely people, Ate Michelle of Micmic's Corner and Iya of From nails to makeup.
[ Want to know more about the collaboration?! Click HERE ]

It was such a fun experience! Getting to know these ladies more while doing our weekly makeup looks, talking about beauty and personal things as well.
The first week, we did a Disney Inspired look and it was challenging!  I am not really that creative or experimental especially with bold colors. But of course, these ladies helped me. I guess from us 3, Iya is the MOST creative one when it comes to colorful eye makeups. I loved her Jasmine Inspired look! Very JASMINE!   ♥

For our second week, we have decided to do the famous 500 Pesos Makeup Challenge.
It was really challenging also because I have breakouts and I really need something that will offer good coverage. And it was really hard to come up with something "presentable" with a little amount of budget. This challenge  Ate Michelle showed that simplicity is really beauty. I love how simple her look is but it still looks classy. ♥
So for the last part of our collaboration. We have decided to do something very timely. We also wanted to do something classy but fun at the same time. Something you guys will remember.

So without further blabbing/stuttering/whatever-ing.
Here is my Fall 2012 Makeup Look.   ♥

Smokey eyes are so in, as usual. But the difference this Fall, is the shades. You can use "unusual" colors of shadows like purple, blue and even green shades.

I personally don't really know how to "smoked" a look. But I tried. :P
I used purple because I love purple on the eyes. It is gorgeous! I just love how purple looks so pretty, classy and elegant all the same time.

the lighting here sucks!

If ever you're doing smokey looks, it is normal to use a nude shade of lipstick.
But I chose not to because BRIGHT lips are also in this season.
Bright red, bright pink and even bright orange.
Vampy lips are already a statement during Fall season. Wine red, or berry-ish colors. Gorgeous ones! But bright ones are so in too!

For the face, I wanted to keep it simple. I contoured my face and used a little bit of blush.

PRODUCTS USED:
James Cooper Cream Foundation in CF 03
ELF Blush in Candid Coral
Fashion21 Loose Powder #6
In2it Eyebrow Color
ELF Eyelid Primer
Dollface 88 Earth Color Palette [ light pink color "inner lids" and highlight ]
Fashion21 Color Set  [ brown "crease: and purple "outer two thirds" ]
Nichido GNO Eye Pencil in Blackest black
 BOB Super Curl Mascara

Excuse this photo. It is a little bit too light because the lamp I was using was literally in front of my face. :P But I love this picture. Very model-ish. HAHAHA :P FEELINGERA!

I fell in love with the look. I think its something I can pull off. It is something different even without using too much colors. I think it is still on the safe side.
But of course, I cannot NOT use my "signature" thing. A bright and bold lips. :)

Here is another look I tried to pull off.

TMI :D
NUDE makeups are also in this season.
Nude lips are so not me, but I look very nice/good girl, right?! haha It makes me look super quiet.
I also tried the THICK BROWS because that is also in this Fall. Thick, well groomed brows and well defined brows. Mine isn't well groomed though. :P
FLUSHED cheeks or very vibrant colored cheeks are in also.
Very tisayin and peg! :P

To end this collaboration we did. I have a short message to my 2 girls here. ♥

To Ate Michelle and Iya. YEY! We made it! LOL
This collab we did made me get to know more of you girls. And I am really glad that I gained friends like you.
Thanks for being nice to me. For the friendship and for everything.
I am excited for our future plans. I am excited to meet you 2 in person.
I am happy that I gained 2 new pretty sisters! ♥

Ate, you're really nice and helpful and thoughtful and a lot more. I can spend the whole day talking to you because I learn a lot from you. You're so nice and so genuine.
Thank you! From the very beginning you were there, 'til now. :)

Iya, I think you're really pretty and nice. Thanks for making us laugh. LOL For your winning "sabaw" moments. Thank you for being a sweet lady. :) For the support and the encouragements, thank you also! It means a lot!
And I am really jealous of you're flawless face :P

There you have it.
I hope you enjoyed our collaboration.
It was fun! REALLY! I would love to do this again with these ladies and of course with other bloggers as well. ♥

Enough of the "emo" part. :)
Make sure to check out the looks these 2 lovely ladies also did.

September Lovin' : 500 Pesos Makeup Challenge

WARNING: picture heavy post

As most of you know, Micmic's Corner, From Nails to Makeup and yours truly are having this super fun collaboration this month. [ click HERE to know more }
We are now on our 2nd makeup "challenge". And we chose to do the
500 Pesos Makeup Challenge.
Last week, our collaboration challenge was Disney Inspired Makeup look. I chose to recreate Princess Ariel of The Little Mermaid's look.[ Ariel Inspired Makeup Look ]

The challenge is to create a whole look using makeup products that won't exceed your  Php 500.00 budget. It is quite similar with the $20 Makeup Challenge but here, you can use your own tools, like brushes, unlike the latter.

So, here are the products I used.

Kokuryu Summer Cake in Sunset Tan - - - Php 99.00
Careline Oil Control Face Powder refill in Tan - - - Php 55.00
Careline Oil Control Blusher in Morena Star - - - Php 80.00
Nichido Makeup Collection - -  - Php 100.00
Ever Bilena Color Pencil in Black - - - Php 88.00
Excel Paris Lip Cream in 508 - - - Php 50.00
      TOTAL:  Php 472.00

Yey for not exceeding the budget!
And now for the looks. YES, looks because I did a Day- Night Makeup Look. :)

Day Look.

I used all the products that I mentioned. BUT I didn't contour my face that much. I just pat on a little bit of the blush/bronzer because I want it to look fresh and subtle.

I mixed the EB Color Pencil with a little bit of the blusher to use on my brows.
[ I mixed it at the back of my hand ]

For the blush, I use a little bit of the lighter blush from this Nichido Palette.

For the eyes, I dabbed on a little bit of the eyeshadow 1 all over my lids. And lined my eyes with the EB Color Pencil.

The lips, I put on a little bit of lip cream on my finger and dabbed it on to my lips.

 Night Look.

The night look is basically the same makeup I did for the Day time.
I just contoured my face a little bit more. And packed on the lip cream for a bolder and louder lips. Perfect for night outs!

For the eyes, I applied the eyeshadow 2 on the outer 2/3 of my lids and crease area.
I also retouched the eye liner a little bit. Curled my lashes, and I am good to go!

If you guys noticed, the foundation and powder are really light for my skintone. It really is. But those shades are already the darkest. So, it really didn't match my skin that well.
Yes, I had a hard time blending and using the Kokuryu foundation that's why you can see that it is not blended that well.
I also skipped on the mascara, believe it or not. Those are my natural lashes. I am pretty blessed with that. :)

This was a fun, but at the same time really challenging. I was willing to sacrifice all the other makeup for a good foundation because that is what I need as of the moment. COVERAGE! But it won't be that challenging anymore if I skipped out on the other products right?! :)

A little camwhoring. :P

OF COURSE! My pacute/masakit ang ulo pose. :P

I hope you guys enjoyed that! I know I did! :)
Check out the magnificent work of my 2 lovely "collaborators." :P

September Lovin : Disney Inspired Look *ARIEL*

Last week's Introduction HERE

Tonight I will be posting our first makeup collaboration challenge.
So, our collaboration is about different makeup challenges/looks every week. I am collaborating with this 2 lovely ladies. Micmic's Corner and From nails to makeup.

For this week we have decided to do a Disney Princess Inspired look.
It is INSPIRED cause we didn't copy the exact look but we came up with our own version of it. ♥

I chose Princess Ariel form The Little Mermaid.  ♥
I don't know when...I don't know how...but I know something's starting right now. Watch and you'll see...Somebody I'll be...Part of your world! -Ariel

It was really challenging because I really wanted to make it colorful and all that fancy stuff. BUT the problem is I am really not good in using eye shadows. It is my weakest point in makeup. So, I had to read and watch videos on how to achieve a clean looking eye makeup. It was hard for me. I have been very busy with a lot of stuffs and I didn't have enough time to "study" more. So, I just came up with what I know and what I want it to look like. :)

And this is the look I came up with!
Blue bold eyes and a little hint of red on the lips.  ♥

I chose SEA BLUE colors for obvious reasons. The Little Mermaid lives in the sea and her eyes are color blue.
I love my eye makeup! I cannot believe I did this. LOL
I love it! ♥

Her cheeks are rosy that is why I used a rose colored one.
[  Sorry for the photos. It doesn't give any justice to the real colors I used. ]
And I chose a "red" colored lips because her lips are red and her hair too.

I don't have any costume because nudity isn't allowed. HAHA :D
I just used a tube top that is purple because hers is purple too!

Products used:
EYES
* In2it Brow Powder
* Nichido GNO Eye Pencil in Blackest Black
* BOB Super Curl Mascara
* Fashion 21 Color Set
* Beauty UK Palette in Number 2
* Shawill 6 Cream Eyeshadow in 09

FACE
* Ever Bilena Studio Finish Stick Foundation in Beige
* 4U2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder in 03
* ELF Contouring Bronzer
* Ever Bilena Cheek Blush in Raisin
* Krave Minerale Oil Eliminator and Skin Hydrator

LIPS
* Carmex Lip Balm
* Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Love that Red

Overall, I loved the look I came up with. It might not look mermaid-y but I am proud of what I did. It is my first time exploring the "colorful" side of shades. I am excited to do more soon! ♥
Love it, I just wish I had a better camera to capture the real colors. I am sure to invest in one soon. :)

Please check out the looks my collaboration partners did also. :)

I hope you guys enjoyed it! :)
Stay tuned for next week's challenge! This collaboration thing is really fun!
Thanks ya'll! MWAH! ♥

September Lovin : Introduction

Hi everyone! :) I am sorry I'm not posting enough beauty posts the past few days. I am just a little busy with school work and my giveaways. But I promise I will try my best to make  it up to everyone. As I have mentioned before, this month is a special month for me. I always feel giddy every time I think about September. Start of Christmas season ( Filipinos celebrate it the longest! ) , Birthday month, and a lot of exciting things are bound to happen. And one of the many exciting things that I am really looking forward to is a collaboration with 2 gorgeous ladies. ♥

Now, let me introduce to you guys my 2 lovely "blogger" sisters.

* Michelle Magramo of Micmic's Corner
26|Filipina|Beauty Blogger

She posted her very first blog post last year, month of April. I met her when I was just starting back in June. She was very nice and friendly. She was one of the first few people who really supported me and who is willing to help me in anything when it comes to blogging.

I thought she was a snob. When I first saw her picture, I really thought she's not nice. I thought she's one of those bloggers who THOUGHT that they are better than all those new ones. BUT she isn't! She is a gorgeous, awesome lady. I would love to keep her as a friend, forever. ♥

GO visit her blog! She blog about beauty, makeup and anything actually.

*Iya Boto of From Nails to Makeup
 20|Filipina|Beauty Blogger

Her very first post was about nail polishes. It was posted last September 2011.
I met her through my FB page when she joined one of my giveaways. She was very friendly and polite. I remember her because she really comments on my posts and talk on me fb. And then we became blogger friends. She was and still is super nice.

I thought she was younger than me. I look older than her diba?! I thought she was the shy and quiet type of girl. But she isn't shy at all. And she doesn't have any reason to be shy! She is really cute and pretty. Beautiful girl, inside and out. ♥

Check her blog out! She blogs about everything about beauty.

So, for the month of September my ate, Michelle of Micmic's Corner and the cutie, Iya of From nails to makeup and yours truly, All about being Glam planned some few interesting stuffs. Stay tuned awesome people! ♥
